February 18th is the beginning of the New Year in East Asia. This is the most important festival of the year in that part of the world.

Miss Avery's History classes made Red Couplets and decorated the school with them, welcoming peace and prosperity into our classrooms throughout the New Year.
Dr. Kim and his wife came in and showed Miss Avery's Adv. Algebra class how to make origami and kirigami figures.
Miss Avery's Algebra and General Math class made Chinese papercuts in Math class and will hang these papercuts on our classroom windows and at home to bring good luck and to all who enter.
